Curt Richter was watching a parade on 96th street in Manhattan. It was the beginning of the 1960s and Richter was a little boy. Seven astronauts in darksuits walked behind a limousine and waved to the crowd. Richter was enchanted. Those men are going to space! Gravitation is an exhibition about travelling into space. Where and how it happened and what was required for it to happen.
Curt Richter has made five trips to the Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral in Florida and the project continues. Richter is an American photographer who lives in Finland. Gravitation at G18 until the 31.5 (George Street 18, Helsinki, Finland).
