Neanderthals developed Clovis points and explored their lands but they never refined their skills of crafting flint arrowheads and would cease to venture beyond the water’s edge. Only humans did that. Evolution is the desperate attempt of species to survive. We evolved for other reasons and in large part due to our curiosity and courage. It wasn’t simply for survival that humans set sail across oceans without a compass. It is in our nature. I am more curious about Charles Darwin when Wernher von Braun.
